Trade show for electronics production, PRODUCTRONICA Munich, Germany With its marking devices KBA-Metronic AG supplies a wide range of products for industrial applications. Technology leader for economical Inkjet printers The alphaJET C is proving to be an excellent concept all round, starting with its elegant design and the standard stainless steel housing of the device and including ease of operation and the high degree of functionality. |
Savings owing to extensive standard functions The alphaJET C can be used for labelling almost all products and materials. The freely programmable system works according to the continuous-inkjet principle and can be integrated into all production lines without any difficulty. The fields in which the device can be used range from the simplest of applications (date printing) to highly complex applications in which the alphaJET C works in combination with a PC, barcode reader, image identification system and xy axis system. The optimised print head produces 1 to 6-line lettering of consistent good quality irrespective of the position in which it is installed and also on uneven or structured surfaces. Examples of how it is used are, e.g. sell-by dates, batch numbers, logos, barcodes, serial numbers, production data and lists of contents covering several lines. The scope of supply includes a high standard for date codes, such as the Julian or alphanumerical date, both equipped with encoding, optional selection of the calendar week depending on the country as well as roll-over, sell-by date, i.e. freely selectable date changes. Furthermore, the two-dimensional data matrix code is also part of the standard scope of supply. Not only does the alphaJET C print head write up to six lines with the 48-point matrix; the individual lines can also be shifted pixel by pixel. Hence, with this printer superscript and subscript are also possible with several lines of text. Besides, the text can also be applied at a 90-degree angle. This makes it possible to meet high requirements in terms of resolution and script quality. The script matrix is freely selectable with script heights of 0.8 to 15 mm. All marking requirements ranging from multiline print to high quality logos or codes can be met with ease. |
Stable coding with KBA-Metronic lasers At Productronica 2005 KBA-Metronic AG is presenting its new compact, user friendly F-1010/F-1030 and S-1010/S-1030 series laser systems. They are ideal for economical permanent coding on paper, cardboard, coated and varnished metals as well as ceramics, wood, glass and plastic. In terms of design and function the CO2 F-1010 SP/F-1030 SP laser system in both the 10-watt and the 30-watt versions was conceived especially for simple coding tasks, e.g. sell-by dates or batch numbers. It is just as simple and straightforward to enter data and perform configuration via the touch screen terminal as it is to install the system in a production line. A high speed head is a standard feature of the F-1010 SP/F-1030 SP. The tried and tested high availability of the system is equally convincing, making it ideal for newcomers to laser technology and offering great user convenience and high output at low investment costs. The “Plus” in the F-1010/F-1030 series stands for more sophisticated coding technology. The “Plus series” is also supplied in a 10-watt and 30-watt version. Regarding its features, it sets new standards in its class. The spectrum of applications ranges from standard data such as date, time or batch numbers right up to complex graphics, logos, barcodes and data matrix codes. Depending on the area of application, the system can be operated either via a pocket terminal, an external PC, or the standard Ethernet interface and software with which it is possible to drive any number of
F-1010/F-1030 Plus laser systems or by means of a portable touch screen. A high speed head is a standard feature of the system. This laser system makes it possible to meet even the high requirements of the pharmaceuticals sector, 21 CFR Part 11. So it stands for high end coding for the entire service life of the product.
