A wide range of products for industrial applications
A leader in low-cost Inkjet printer technology

Protection class IP 55, which is now available, makes the alpha JET E ideal for industrial coding applications in the food and beverages industry.

The basic architecture of the alphaJET E largely corresponds to that of the AJ-C. This applies particularly to its familiar, clear and simple operation as well as to the printer’s highly valued reliability.

The functions of the alphaJET E has been designed to meet the requirements of the food and beverages industry. The alphaJET E has a 24-point matrix and can print up to 3 lines at a time (7x5 matrix) or four lines (5x5 matrix), enabling it to apply production and product data at a high quality standard. The housing has been developed to meet the requirements of protection class IP 55 for damp and wet rooms and has been adopted as a standard feature. Furthermore, an extended temperature range of 5° C to 45° C has been implemented in the alphaJET E, within which it is capable of working reliably and safely on products. Economical operation and low consumption make the alphaJET E an extremely interesting proposition for large production volumes.

The economy of the alphaJET E with IP55 is evident even before it is actually put to use in production owing to its low initial costs. Naturally, this does not imply any loss of quality.

Greater focus on laser technology - Stable coding with KBA-Metronic lasers

The compact, user-friendly laser systems of the F-1010/F-1030 und S-1010/ S-1030 series are ideal for economical permanent coding on paper, cardboard, coated and lacquered metals as well as ceramics, wood, glass and plastic.

KBA-Metronic AG has extended its laser range by including two new laser models, the F-1010/F-1030 SP and the F-1010/F-1030 Plus. (3)

The F-1010 SPCO2 laser system with 10-watt and the F-1030 SP with 30-watt laser output have been designed especially for simple coding operations, such as sell-by dates or batch numbers. It is just as simple and straightforward to enter data and perform configuration via the touch screen terminal as it is to install the system in a production line. A high speed head is a standard feature of the F-1010 SP/F-1030 SP. The tried and tested high availability of the system is equally convincing, making it ideal for newcomers to laser technology, offering great user convenience and high output at low investment costs.

The “Plus” in the F-1010/F-1030 series stands for more sophisticated coding technology. The “Plus series” is also supplied in a 10-watt and 30-watt version. The spectrum of applications ranges from standard data such as date, time or batch number, up to complex graphics, logos, barcodes and data matrix codes. Depending on the area of application, the system can be controlled either via a pocket terminal, a portable touch screen or an external PC, with which it is possible to access any number of F-1010/F-1030 Plus laser systems via the serial Ethernet interface by using the special operating software.

Cost reductions because no consumables are consumed.

In terms of low-cost coding the laser systems always beat the field anyway because laser coding requires no consumables.

This is an important criterion when taking a decision, not just for the user who has to pay attention to costs. The increasing significance of laser systems in the coding sector reflects the growing acceptance of this technology, especially since it meets the most stringent criteria in terms of environmental compatibility and economy. The innovative attitude of KBA Metronic AG, a medium-sized company, is highlighted by the enlargement of its range of products in the laser sector.
