Awards for the Genius 52 and Rapida 205
KBA wins “Kristall Marsan”

2005 was a particularly successful year on the Eastern European market for KBA and its subsidiary, KBA-Metronic AG. As in Germany and the United States, the sheet-fed offset printing machines from the KBA Group received several Russian printing industry awards.

KBA RUS received one of these coveted Kristall Marsans for the best-implemented project. (1)

This meant that on December 8, at a festive event in the Moscow Library for Foreign Literature, KBA RUS received a Kristall Marsan and three diplomas in different categories. The Kristall Marsan is awarded by the Kursiv publishing house, which publishes several specialist printing journals, including Kursiv and GART. This is traditionally an important occasion in the graphic industry in Russia.

The Genius 52UV with UV installations is designed as an all-rounder for a wide variety of printing substrates, ranging from plastic, foils and paper to printing on up to 0.8mm-thick card. (2)

KBA RUS received the Marsan for the best-implemented project: the installation of the Rapida 205 at PVG in St. Petersburg as the largest-format sheet-fed offset machine in the whole of Russia. According to the opinion of the jury this project was the one that best met the assessment criteria: “level of technical implementation”, “key technical data” and “efficiency”. In addition to this, the compact, small-format sheet-fed offset machine, Genius 52, was also awarded several diplomas: as the best printing machine it received the visitors’ award at the PoligraphInter trade fair as well as a prize awarded by a jury of experts from leading Russian printing companies. These awards are further confirmation of the international reputation of the technology supplied by KBA as a leading innovator for new technologies and processes. KBA-Metronic AG supplies the Genius 52 UV with UV installations for the traditional foil and card-printing market segment.
