At the drinktec 2005 KBA-Metronic presented the new FIP/FSIP 1000 Pluslaser serieswith protection class IP 55, which has been designed especially for production lines in the wet area. A large variety of materials, such as glass, labels, PET, printed cardboard or varnished metals can be marked cheaply and lastingly. The serial high-speed writing head enables marking – even at high production speeds of up to 5m/sec.

With protection class IP 55, the alphaJET E is perfectly suited for industrial marking in the food and beverage industry. The basic architecture of the alphaJET E corresponds largely to that of the alpha JET C, which is well known for its clear and simple operability and a high degree of availability. The alphaJET E has a 24-point matrix and prints up to 3 lines (7 x 5 matrix) or four lines (5 x 5 matrix), enabling it to apply production and product data at a high quality standard. Furthermore, an extended temperature range of 5° C to 45° C has been implemented in the alphaJET E; within this range it is capable of working reliably and safely in production. Economical operation and low consumption makes the alphaJET E particularly interesting for large production volumes.

The printing and marking devices of KBA-Metronic AG enable it to supply a broad product range for industrial applications, ranging from hot stamping systems, which are offered in over ten different versions, to a wide variety of freely programmable marking systems such as thermal transfer, inkjet and laser technology.
