Printing technology
Print machine development activities at KBA-Metronic AG are focused on techniques which use UV ink to print on plastic cards, CDs/DVDs and plastic and paper sheets. The portfolio includes standard 4-color printing and complete solutions offering special colors, fully automatic feed, integrated white basic unit and varnishing unit. Since the mid 1990’s, the company has successfully installed more than 2,000 waterless offset short inking units worldwide. The company developed this technology in house. Major companies around the world use printing machines made by KBA-Metronic AG to print on smart cards and telephone cards, CDs, DVDs and A3+ sizeplastic and paper sheets.
